Why call it TopGear if it doesn't intend to mimic the sentiment of the Pommy version (which by the way the producers have intended too and failed). They should have called it "LastGear" or a more Aussie appropriate semblance "4SpeedAuto". The show is painful to watch and no amount of wishing will ever make it a "TopGear". I say do away with the title and make a unique show with less strained tomfoolery. If the UK's Channel 5 can do it with 5th Gear I don't see why we can do it too.

(P.S) A frozen Chicken through the front windscreen would have made better entertainment value than that trampoline fail segment.

Before making commmentry comparing to the UK, go watch the first three seasons for a true comparison. The aussie show is on track to nestle itself a personality in due course.

Except 5th Gear is the original Top Gear, but the BBC wouldn't give up the name, who then later on re-made Top Gear into its current format, but if you look at the first few seasons of the new Top Gear, you will notice it is el crapola just like our Aussie version.

In time the hosts find their groove, people respond, car manufacturers pony up more cash and cars to test, greater challenges are had and you end up with the current Top Gear UK.

IMHO they should of put taken one of the kids off the jet ski and put him on either an GSXR1000 road bike (or similar) or a shitter scooter with his ice cream container as a helmet.

Would of meant jet ski boy could of gone flat out and not be weighed down by homo boy.
