yeah they mentioned the beemer being $40 more expensive than the evo, but im assuming that was EVO MR vs Poverty Pack Beemer. Apples and oranges really.

If they wanted a 'real' comparison, they should have compared the 135i to the base Evo X and not the MR. There still would be the $20k price difference too.

135i is a great bang for buck car tho.

I think the show was fantastic - best & only Aussie Car show around, miles better than anything else locally produced.

TGA will never be as good as TGUK - they don't have the budget, locations, access to cars and expericence that UK does, so stop comparing. I'd rather watch TGA than nothing so will continue to support the SBS version.

The look on Skaife's face was priceless.

I agree with Blues, Except i think TGA will be just as good as TGUK, They are still finding their feet, and James Morrison is'nt as stuck up as the last bloke.

I think if the ratings improve, then they'll attract a higher calibre of advertiser and eventually score a bigger budget.

Based on people I know in real life, the ones who are the most critical of TGA are people who are in love with the Pommy team and not really that interested in cars. (one of the biggest fans of the UK show that I know can't even drive)

Maybe the local show will attract people who like cars instead

I'm glad TGA has finally let the local guys be themselves and not forced to be clones of the UK team.

Last night, I thought Warren was much more likeable and relaxed, and Steve was knowledgable and funny. and the interplay between the three much more comfortable and less forced.

I loved James' jab at Warren after the jet ski segment. 'You're walking like Rock Hudson'

I hope they keep going. Judging by the comments here I think they have half a chance.

Edit: mind you the feedback is less positive on EvolutionOz

i actually enjoyed James Morrisons first go. it seemed to flow a lot better then the other dickhead who was hosting it. He seems a lot more laid back, and faaaaaar less head up ass.

I think people are suggesting the show was "good" just for the sake of it. If you had no precognition of the Pommy show and watched TGA you'd still think this show is crap. The hosts have no chemistry and lack scene presence even as individuals. Plus the show needs some good writers, I mean look at the challenge, No one wants to see a Lambo do 40kph in peek hour. The race had no excitement or entertainment value.

So how would you rate it against Glenn Ridges show or that new show Chrome? Australia has had some pretty dry all the cars we test are wonderful type shows. TGA is a vast improvement.
