Default Please Please be careful over Christmas!!

Just a heads up and reminder to everyone out there ..

PLEASE BE CAREFUL ON THE ROADS OVER CHRISTMAS

.. Don't do anything silly and end up on the news.

I just got a serious wakeup call from a police officer in his personal car in plain clothes on the way back from a workshop for 'testing' something.

It was 'safe' at the time but still illegal.

Please be careful and don't end up on the news, a statistic or without a licence over the Christmas period, it's just not worth it.

Thankfully i seem to have avoided a $1000 fine and my car being towed. Do it legally and hit up AHG or goto No Limits.

Lesson learned.

Peace

i meant moving quickly....i mean 1000 dollar fine and seeya later car means 40 over....probably in a 60 or 80 zone, would have just been giving it a poke, would be pretty hard if it wasnt boosting properly

it drove fine.....just intemittent on boost stumble that didn't show up during data logging....AFM going into over-voltage occasionally was all that logging showed.

Friday 19/12/08 to Sunday 04/01/09

Cut and paste from the office of road safety website

The intention of Double Demerit Points is to enhance the deterrent effect of penalties. It is recognised that the majority of drivers do evaluate their driving behaviour when faced with monetary or demerit penalties, particularly in the short term.

Aim
The aim of this initiative is to encourage safe driving on long weekends and public holiday periods in Western Australia.

Target Audience
Community education will target all drivers in WA. A secondary target will include male drivers aged 17 to 39 yearsofage, being the primary target audience for speed, drink driving and restraints campaigns.

Objectives
· Raise community awareness of the Double Demerit Pointsinitiative on long weekends and holiday periods.
· Raise community awareness about how this initiative will work:
demerit points for speeding, drink and drug driving, the nonuse of seatbelts and for carrying passengers in the open load space of a vehicle will be doubled over long weekends/holiday periods; but monetary fines will not increase nor will suspension periods change.

I SMELL REVENUE (and bullshit)
