{becuase saturday morning i saw 4 aboriginals dump a stolen 2001 WRX at bullcreek train station (license plates KEKEKE), after i realised what they had done, i ran after them, but they were already gone.. it really pisses me off when stuff like that happens}

YES! i received an sms 12:30am this morning from a guy on another forum (thought it was rotary forum, as i was half asleep) telling me someone saw my car at the bullcreek station, so i went there straight away, got there around 1am and found my car parked nicely in the carpark!!

doors were closed but not locked, PFC commander ripped out, they took some cash and a few items from the car, went thru the glove box and center console compartment. a little bit of damage on the exhaust, but its all easy fix. my keys and wallets were not in the car. Searched thru bushes and bins nearby, but didn't find anything.

I haven't start the engine or driven the car yet, so not sure if the engine and gearbox is still good, other than that, everything else seems alright and its now towed to the police for forensic analysis.

police were surprised that the car was found by spreading words on the forums.

Once again thankyou everyone for helping out/ support/ great ideas/ looking out for my car. Very much appreciated, very lucky for me to find it back in relatively good condition, will be careful not to let this happen again.

WoW, thats really lucky isnt it. Atleast it wasnt burnt / crashed / pulled apart / vandalized / etc. I remember seeing it at ahg when I first got my car.. Would have been a shame if it got damaged in any way.

It's worth getting a house alarm that allows different zones to be activated at night...ie bedroom/bathroom off all other areas on...this would stop people stealing keys at night if alarm is a deterrent.

Glad to hear your car was found, and in fairly good condition. Just going to take a while to get the smell out of the interior!!!

[QUOTE=Shinobiken]
But still, i think from now on, i'll have to go to the extend of eating my keys everynight and shit it out the next morning when i need to drive the car, lol. no where really is safe anymore.

Glad you got the car back and hope the running gear is still ok.

I have remotes for my alarm and a home mode which arms most the sensors up when we are asleep (including garage). If someone was to get in without
the three dogs noticing then they would likely be pinged by an alarm sensor.

makes for a better nights sleep, just go to bed and arm up the house with the remote. Has a panic switch on the remotes also.
