Punished with an acceptable sentence be it jail or whatever, the farce here is that he was let go with no punishment at all. Nothing to do with repaying violence with violence.

Legal system is pathetic.

Whether it is what has happened here or big companies putting little companies out of business with tricky little clauses or rights to dress and do illegal things due to religion but not display a Christmas decoration in fear of offending these people.

Why wasn't this under the 1 punch rule?

Personally the way this world is going I am waiting for a world war or the general public to finally remove all the bullshit going on.

I went to school with Barry he was a roughnut then, looks like nothing has changed. I don't know anything about it but if you have a heart problem what the hell are you doing anywhere near a fight.

i agree with that, it looked like shit and could have been done better although when your in that situation half the time you dont even know how many coppers are there and it doesnt take much for a crowd of 3 to turn to 30.

Im just saying... i dont criticise them because i wasnt there and i dont know what they were thinking.

in the long run the people that will be affected the most is the general public, the ones that go to a pub or club that dont cause the trouble and get started on and filled in becuase the boys are rushing to get to them anymore.

Yeah exactly. I learned a long time ago never to trust the media. Why let the truth get in the way of a good story. It's like the Rodney King video. The only bits the media played were the ones of the cops beating him. They never showed what happened prior to that.

Grappling with a copper I could understand.
Laying into them with punches is another thing altogether.

And running in from behind with a flying headbutt can never be excused in my book.

I am not a cop, I'm a site manager. If/when I handle something badly with my workers:
a) I would not expect to be headbutted, punched, or otherwise assaulted
b) If I was assaulted, I would expect the miscreant to be suitably punished

This does not seem to apply to assaults on public servants. There is something seriously wrong with our legal system, and the public have themselves to blame with the representatives they elected to govern this system.

This made me sick when i saw it on TV last night.

the Men and women who serve to protect us and all public officers must be protected at all costs!

I think there are alot of angry police out there, they should send the TRG on those spanners claiming self defence.

It shows there character. From what PIGSTI said and what we know.
1. Him AND his dad were fighting before police came.
2. They were fighting WITH police.
3. The dad HIT a police officer.
4. They were charged for threatoning to kill the person who filmed it.
5. What sensible, non aggressive person would actually do or even attempt a run and jumping headbut. Let alone on a police officer.
What we see, or didn't see shouldnt matter too much. It seems clear the kind of people this family are.
