like a grandma for more than a week to see how much i can get out of a tank.

Id love to get 500kms out of a tank but always get around 380.

I've never got 400km out of a tank either. Although, if i filled it to the absolute brim so the fuel nozzle clicks with it all the ways out even when you press it 1mm and the gauge is past the full mark, i reckon i could make it ..

I always use Vortex98 and have never had a problem.
But going back a couple of years my boss had a Falcon and filled up from a Caltex near the Raffles.
He didn't even make it to the traffic lights. Basically they filled his tank with water. Completely fucked the motor. Thing was there was 3 other cars on the road that had the same thing happen and the servo refused to shut down the pumps saying the water didn't come from them. After a visit from the company lawyer it was all sorted out and he got a full engine rebuild.

I seriously don't know what you guys drive like to get such shit fuel economy.

With the rex I regularly got over 500kms on the Verso tune (record was 600kms although ran out of fuel at 555kms one time pushing my luck ), still managed to crack 500km on the motec.

The evo with its tiny fuel tank and super rich tune from factory still manages to get 450km per tank.

500+ on factory
500+ on pre "verso" tunes
500+ on td04+exhaust verso tune
500+ on td04+exhaust+tmic+816cc inj+boost verso tune
500+ on vf34+exhaust+tmic+816cc inj+boost verso tune
500+ on vf34+exhaust+fmic+headers+816cc inj+motec tune

I didn't have anything "custom custom custom" other than I accepted if it went pop, it went pop and was willing to test out a lot of things for other people to enjoy later down the track.

Guess what I am trying to say is, you guys must flog the crap out of your cars regularly or be in continuous stop start traffic. It is possible to get good kms out of the car under 'normal' driving circumstances.

Maybe i should stop letting the car urge onto boost and keep out of it and see how that goes Difficult to do though.

If i kept out of boost which is much easier to do on the 34 compared to the TD04 i suspect i would make it much further.

If I use only 3 gears for a whole week I'm sure I could still get 400km from 60L.

I always get 450km from my 60L currently and using only BP Ultimate 98
