i took my rex over to esperance just after christmas and wrote down all my fuel ups. I worked out I was averaging about 9.3 litres per 100k's. so in theory should be getting up to around 600k's a tank. Only mods though are 3" TBE and pod filter, and of course it was about 95% country driving with a short dash of 170km/h

Lucky you. Mine splutters at 54 liters. Like hell it's a 60 liter tank.

Country on cruise @ 110 I can almost get 500 before the fuel light appears with 47 liters used.

Round town 380 for the fuel light is doing reasonably well but I tend to do shorter trips and drive a bit enthusiastically so I accept that. The Pig also hauls around a fair bit more weight than the earlier versions which kills it round town.

On my stock GC8 I used to get 450 per tank. Then with mods and rich tune that dropped to 350

So I ran a tank of Vortex98 after running BP98 since.. Well since I got the car and I must say the Vortex is horrid (might just be my car!) but the engine runs rougher and the performance is down big time.

BP98 for me from now on. No exceptions.

+ ATMO BOV is going! Damn fuel wasting cop attracting chick pulling thing...

Ok, Im back with some feedback since I have been using BP 98 since I threw the question out there. My car seems to have a new lease of life (Whooo Hooo). I must have had a bad batch which was lagging my car big time, and since I have been running with BP, it runs a lot cleaner and more responsive. Mind you, the fuel gauge does seem to move quicker than before. Maybe its me tramping it at every possible chance with the revived get-up-n-go. Thanks heaps for the input guys.

anyone else using PEAK 98ron? before my re-tune recently i was constantly mixing between ultimate 98 and peak 98. to be honest i noticed no difference at all(same performance, same km out of a tank etc). saying that i only ever fill up with peak 98 from the same station everytime due to their high turnover (leach hwy, myaree one)

My fuel light usually comes on at around 500kl or 51L with United, has done for months, I went back to a tank of BP last time I filled it & it came on at 470kl which is what it used to do before when I only used BP, I'm going back to Liberty/Peak/United.
