banks are certainly tightening their lending, they will lend me 300k as i am now, but with my parents as guarentours they will give me 750k.

i will be going through something like aussie i think, i have a meeting with them next wednesday night, he asked me my budget and i said about 330-370k, and he said with the details he had of me it shoudlnt be a problem.

That is an absolute joke really....how are you magically able to repay a $750k loan just by your parents going guarentours??

Im not having a go at you Adrenalin, but i think its immoral of the banks to lend that much when the say you can realisitcally only repay a 300k loan..

Pre approval is your best bet. Irons out any dramas before they have a chance to stuff anything up. Unfortunately that's what happens when the biggest Mortgage Insurer in Australia is an American company facing huge loses.
