dont think you can get it paid out without insurance, i.e the bank wont release the cheque without it.

As has been said already as long as you have all the details like rego, his name, drivers license, and a contact number go through insurance and let them rape him for it.

i guess u really only need the insurance to get the cheque, once you have bought the car they dont really check to make sure u maintain the insurance for the term of the loan. ...... plus he was caucasionally challenged so uncle kev probly took care of the repayments for him.

Thats horrible. i had a similar thing happen however it was my brother who crashed into the back of me. has was uninsured aswell. Sounds like your already onto the correct procedures to get it fixed.
