What are people's thoughts of it actually getting passed?

I was going to sell my Escort 9500ix to upgrade to something else atm, so if it's going to be passed, I'd better make sure its a stealth unit I buy!

It's not the fine in other states that is the big deterrent - its the points which is 9 points in NSW/Queensland (to the best of my knowledge). So, fine approx $2000, 9 points and the loss of the device.

jammers will attract a much worse fine, its considered as tampering with police equipment & perverting the course of justice

Everyone, I suggest you start lobbying your local state member:

I also suggest you lobby the Australian Driver's Rights Association http://www.adrawa.com.au/contact.htm.

No action will simply result in the inevitable occuring.
