MKVI is 8kw up on MKV so its only slight increase. Pirelli edition has 169kw (slightly bigger turbo so better if you're going to chip it). Minor differences though.
The new R20 (replacement for the R32) will be the go, AWD and around 200kw (similar specs to S3).

Well after looking at the VW, I think the Audi is a much better Looking car than the Jetta. Only difference audi would be second hand compared to brand new on vw.

What's peoples thoughts on the Alfa 159 T

I'm not a fan of the Jetta either. Designed for Americans and the suspension settings are different to the GTI

Haven't driven a 159 but its the best looking sedan this side of a Quattroporte. Don't think the resales too great so maybe dont buy a new one? It wont be as nice to drive as a BMW or Audi but the looks and personality compensate. You're not a true car fan if you haven't owned an Alfa (according to Clarkson)

Turbo Diesel will be BORING. If your gonna get an Alfa, you gotta get a petrol 6.

and its the budget which is killing me. Looking to spend max 45k.

Now thing that don't go together is turbo and 45k lol i know. But is there something out there people have suggestions Something i am missing.

The alfa 159 looks nice. but mrs isn't overly keen on the alfa.

So basically looking for something

Turbo/super charged/ has power
Black ext/int
no older than 07

ASking for a lot i know.
What about a G6E Turbo?? you could pick up an 08 model for mid 40's if you look around.. take one for a lap, flick it across to sports mode and stomp the loud pedal.. for a stock looking factory car they go pretty hard, should be good for high 12 low 13 in the right hands on the right day etc..

good equipment list and kinda classy looking too but at the end of the day its still a ford which if your looking for a euro badge probably is the deciding factor for ya

Please don't get a diesel Alfa. Its just wrong.

Standard 2.2 petrol with a proper manual (no selespeed) is the only way to go.
V6 is AWD but very heavy and expensive. And its got a Commodore engine (although it does have Alfa heads, intake etc etc)

Yeah definitely looking forward to that bad boy. I think it uses the TTRS engine, slightly more powerful than the S3, so it will be a 2.0lT rather than a 3.2 V6 so lighter and quicker.Rock on.
