might be a stupid question but have you checked all the fuses to make sure nothing is blown ??? sounds weird that it has just stopped like that never heard of any gear just stopping ...

My old pioneer deck went in and out like a teenage boy and his first girlfriend. No issues at all.

Pull the deck out, its a 10 minute job and that includes 9 mins of jerking off.

Unscrew gear knob.
Pop out the surround.
Undo screws for facia.
Undo screws for CD player.
Unplug cables from the back.

Did you have it installed or was it in the car when you got it?
Any idea who installed it?
Could be a dodgy connection on it perhaps...

Tried pressing the reset button behind the decks front face???

I have a Pioneer DVD head unit that defaults to 'dark mode' (no face or screen illumination) when it's power is disconnected.

worth a try

i lookd for a reset button but cant seem to see one.

and as for taking it out myself, yeh rather not.

i know who installed it but im not in contact with them anymore, but they would have done it properly coz theyve done it a million times.

ill be upgrading everything after tax time anyway. yayyy. loud good sound. (well, anysound is better than silence!)

Take the deck out and try and connect it directly to the battery, if it works then you wired it up wrong.. if it doesn't then either the fuse or faulty unit
