Yeh, I'm a big fan of 'vool myself, and saw them play at BDO in Melbourne sometime in the past. Was absolutely awesome, especially with the kid on the trumpet!.

Oooh I dont know mat(t), HWC were great for a 3 piece but Karnivool are pretty damned polished.......I remember playing in the campus band finals against Full Scale Deflection, I heard zeek went to melbourne then recorded demo's in US and never heard anything further. They were a fantastic act live!

I went to an awesome concert a few years back now, saw Full Scale (they lost the deflection) opened by HWC and Karnivool, with Butterfly Effect as the main event. Pretty good. I also used to really dislike Headshot until they did an Australian tour as well. Same story, they came back to Perth a much more polished and enjoyable band. Haven't been to a local metal concert in YEARS tho I've got the FSD album as well as a Full Scale EP

Thats the thing that sucks about WA, and Albany in particular, I used to go to gigs all the time in Sydney because I was max 3 hours away & there was public transport anyways. But over here it seems like were neglected a bit from all the big bands & I cant exactly come up for a gig then home for work the next day.

Yeh i'll be there on Wednesday night, who's supporting them? do you know?
Support acts usually suck pretty badly, so i might go late.

that right there is pure ignorance.

i know juddy personally as his woman and my woman are kind of like close mates. there once was a time when Karnivool was also a support act. just like there once was a time that Birds of Tokyo were a support act.

i ventured into a MCR concert once (unfortunately packed with a bunch of emo kids but what was i to expect..), and they were being supported by a brisbane band called 'Another Day Down'.. who i must say were fantastic live performers.. well structured, knew how to work a crowd, had great tuneage and created an atmosphere that rocked very very hard. In fact they were so good that it took the limelight away from MCR who turned out to be disappointing at best.

good bands only get better from being support acts first..

Law of averages, i'm still going with supports in WA usually arent that good.
Yes they can be ok, which is why i asked who was supporting in the first place.
The simple fact that you went to a MCR gig, and i assume you think they have musical tallent, to me discredits your opinion anyways.

no.. i in no way said they have any musical talent.. haha. i liked some of their older stuff from the first album. they still had a dirty sound back then.. but now are a commercialised crap machine that just keeps spewing forth utter shite. plus they suck as a live act. will vouch firsthand on that one!
