basically the same except the frequency.

When they say NextG they are talking about the Telstra only 850 MHz 3g network which operated simultaneously on 850/2100 mhz and also uses HSDPA. 850 MHz is the same frequency as the CDMA network which provides greater distance coverage due to the lower frequency used.

The "3G" network is the 2100MHz "city only" 3G network which doesn't give the same coverage.

had a little help from google there

I had your wifi problem after installing the update, it wouldn't automatically connect to my network.

I fixed it by hittin the 'forget this network button' in settings -> wifi -> blue arrow next to home (or whatever ur network is called)
After this, I manually connected to the network and it hasn't missed a beat since!

Has anybody figured out how to object push with 3.0 yet? or can't bluetooth still do that?

Also who else is having problems with Visual Voicemail? Mine just wont work, 4 calls to vodafone later, they are putting it through to the technical team. Supposedly to activate it (if you are on vodafone) you call 1217, when I try this, it says Voicemail is unable to process your request, please try again later.

Yeah I had a similar issue a few nights ago, but I upgraded by means of a torrent. Went to bed and I'm sure it had at least 50% battery and by the morning it was dead flat and my alarm didn't go off. Luckily I still woke up on time.

I just figured I must have not noticed and maybe my battery got real low. Has been fine since a full charge.

Location Services, 3G and bluetooth were all turned off.
However I did have push turned on for my exchange email. That has been known to suck battery life, I have since turned it off.. see how it goes.

Battery meter can become inaccurate if the phone isn't completely discharged and fully recharged from time to time (it re-calibrates itself).
