Default help with new guard dog

I will soon be getting my own place, and seeing that my current dog Petey is a good guard dog but isn't the biggest of all attack dogs I was wondering what big dogs you owned that would have the balls to take on someone if they tried breaking in.

Almost any dog thats 25kg plus can be trained as an attack dog.

What on earth would you want a dog to 'take someone on' for? Buy a large dog if you want a burglar deterrant, or more responsibly, invest in a decent alarm system with a panic button.

A German Shepard or a rotti would be an obvious choice but you MUST train them properly.

After owning 2 black Labradors that would be my pick, really great natured dogs but will attack anyone that threatens you.
