There is a guy selling puppies for free on Antilag.
Kelpie cross. Cheap & a big-ish dog.
Apart from he is in Collie. They wont be ready for another 6 weeks. But it is a decent dog for free.

I agree.

I see your Wolf and raise you a Hyena.

Karena thats a nice looking pup, all puppies are cute, but here's something worth reading before you purchase from a pet shop:

If you don't mind a mongrel maybe rescuing a dog from K9 or the RSPCA might be an option - you could be giving some poor pup a second chance.

If you're moving out, a big dog that requires a shedload of food isn't the most economical option either.

The bigger the dog the bigger the mounds of shit it leaves behind.

I was about to rant about unsterilised pets, but your post is much more eloquent.

Go a Rottweiler. Have had 23 all up, most were sold off as guard dogs but kept 4 in total. As said, an untrained dog is useless as a guard dog, regardless of their size. But if you know what you're doing, or are willing to pay someone to train them for you, then you'll be sweet. We used to train them to maintain a perimeter, and not cross the front fence line unless motioned to, would only allow someone into our compound with a member of the family present, and as soon as that person walks back out the gate, the dogs would attack them if they tried coming back in unattended. So all in all, well trained, pretty smart, were remarkably good with children. Etc etc.

Agreed with lots of above posts : P

My old man use to have a doberman X called soltan. We think it was crossed with a great dane but the thing was huge. Like others have said big dogs like this dont like being left inside all the time. Soltan was given to us after he pulled the lady that use to lock him in the bathroom of his old house down the stairs out the front door and onto the lawn and sat next to her not letting her move until the hubby got home.

They are awesome guard dogs, but if your in a place were you will be at work most of the week and its locked inside better of getting a smaller dog.. Or a bear i herd they dont like burglars.

Staffy = useless. Trust me, I have two and have bred litters. Great dogs, dont get me wrong. I feel much happier when I go O/S for work knowing they will lay down there life for my wife being home alone, but they would lick an intruder to death if left unaccompanied.

I would love a Bully though. Especially a Mini Bully.
