Default PC Virus identifying help

Hi all,

Just had my Mc Afee anti virus come up with this apparent
trojan which then quarantined and deleted it.

However its just the Anydvd exe file

It came up as: Artemis! 2A6660F65FCA
and i cant find anything on the net about
this apparent trojan.

When i go to click on the anydvd shortcut it says the exe file has been
moved or deleted.

Never had this problem before and the antis virus is updated everyday.

Im no PC genius so i would appreciate any help.

Cheers,

Wayne

anydvd has probably been identified as a trojan or something cos i dont think its a 'legal' program, as it strips the css protection/encoding from copy protected dvds.

your antivirus would've either put the anydvd program exe into 'quarantine' (ie moved it somewhere) or deleted it.
somewhere in the settings for your antivirus you should be able to 'allow' anydvd or create an exception for it. otherwise, you should change the settings so the antivirus asks you before it takes action (such as quarantine or deletion)

perhaps an update of either the antivirus or anydvd caused a change in how the antivirus perceived anydvd?
