Default Health Scare.... Wake up call......

We'll I suffered my 3rd migraine in 3 months on Sunday night- Monday morning.

Not a very pleasant thing....my hearing goes hyper sensitive, I can't handle any light.......I even had to take my watch off as it's ticking was driving me to dispair!

I knew work would want a Doc's certificate for having a monday off. So I dragged myself off to the Doc's late Monday arvo..... Thinking to myself it's just a headache...I'll be right!

Well I was wrong......

Blood Pressure through the roof at 185/90 (120/90 is normal).
Apparently I'm lucky not to have had a stroke or an embolism.

Doc sends me home for 3 days, strict instructions not to do anything and enough pills to stone an elephant..... I've been munted all day today.

I have blood tests tommorow and another doc's appointment in the arvo.

Just a heads up....Don't ignore the warning signs!
Wish me luck.

Hope things turn out ok for you. Second not ignoring warning signs. Old man just came out of hospital today after having a heart valve replaced.

Initial sign was his leg swelled up heaps and had been really tired on and off for a few months. First doc diagnosed as DVT and wasn't to keen on following it up further. After really pushing the point he was referred to a specialist who concluded that it was the valve allowing blood to pool and clot. Very lucky not to have had a stroke.

All the best.

Crapola Ross, good thing it's been recognised now. Plenty of Doctors about who are good with these sort of things. Even so, all the best mate.

You know the docs gonna put you on a "everything-including-flavour free" diet plus no drinking, no smokes if you smoke and no stressful activities

Goodluck mate.

My brother in laws brother had a migraine. He went to the doctor, doctor ordered a cat scan. He never had it done. 2 years later, migraine comes back with vengeance, he goes back, doctor orders a cat scan and forces him to go. He had a brain tumour, lasted 3 months, died at 30. The poor bastard wished he went for that cat scan the first time. He paid the price for not doing it.

That's pretty shitty Ross, hope you feel better soon. I get migraines from too much stress which can also cause high blood pressure. Once I quit my old job which was stressing me to the limit I've hardly had a migraine, not saying that you should quit yours though. Link below is for a stress test.
