grab some 125g raiders. toss them as far as you can and wind like hell.
once you hook a tuna/spaniard just hold on. hooked into a few tuna from land in kalbarri earlier in the yeah and my god they move.

if your going for snapper you have to try scented "Gulp" soft plastics. if your looking to do surface fishing get some poppers, loads of fun when the fish are around.

what size boat? if its a decent size ie. over 4m, head out the south passage, leave the ramp and follow the bouys round to the left, continue till you see 2 triangles on land line up and head out in line with them. thats the south passage. Can get pretty hairy at times so depending on weather probably not a good idea for inexperienced skippers. once clear, drop in a couple of rapala's and troll north. likely to catch a few spanish/shark mackeral, yellow fin tuna, possibly wahoo, few bronze whalers etc etc etc. Then come back in the north passage, probably about 4 hours worth of trolling speed.
my best fish out the back was a 27.5kg spanish mackeral, have also caught a small sail fish always advisable to check in to the local shop for advice and info on tides etc. And if its a big swell stay well away from the reef coz when your hooked on a fish and not paying attention to the water, they creep up on ya. nearly been caught a couple of times.
