Default Opinons on tow cars

I'm looking to get a new set of wheels to tow a 15ft boat (and be the daily drive). Looking to spend around the 15K mark and need something 2000+ and < ~120000km. I've been thinking a holden ute or something similar so I can get a trail bike too, but not sure if I want to make the step into the world of bogan.

Opinons?

Pretty sure the Fords have higher towing capacity and tray load weights. Think the Holden's are SFA so if your going to load it up you might want to check on that first.

get a 4wd ute for that, the 4wd will come in handy at the boat ramp if its low tide, or you are on a beach or something.

good move here ! rear wheel drive ute will only give you grief one day when you find yourself, your car and your boat trailer sliding backwards down a slippery boat ramp

Not in your price range I know but my father-in-law has a Ford Ranger/Mazda BT50 and that direct injection diesel is unbelieveable.
We had 2T of stone in the tray and it seriously didn't struggle at all.
Best tow vehicle I have driven.

Go with the Holden that way as lest you can also use it as a boat anchor.
