Hang on,

They take your car, they then fail to make a profit, and they subsequently want to use debt collectors to make YOU pay for their losses / inability to sell?

Surely it's time to realise this law is ill conceived and just use a system of increasingly huge fines (proportional to the size of the offence) instead?

Reckless driving etc is a proper crime. Traffic police do thier job and the other police do thiers.

90% of the cars were pieces of shit anyhow.

This Law needs modding...........

Driving unlicensed (court ordered disqualification) should = crushed car (if the driver owns the vehicle) or fine & deregistration (forcing a pit visit) if someone else owns the vehicle.

Driving having never held a license should = jail time.

Make it harsh and no one will risk the penalties.

What Rossco said, if my wrx was impounded and i couldnt get the cash to get it back, i'd be taking out a loan or something.

The people obviously just didnt care about thier vehicles to reclaim them. Or couldnt get there due to no licence, etc
