Almost prefer to enjoy making and eating my own, than to be disappointed with someones attempts.

However, has anyone been here yet? Looks like they have the big racks.

Two racks or worth setting the table..
This is where I'm at, I get some nice racks from Scarfos butchers in myaree @ $19 a kilo, I bought a gas powered smoker a few months back ( couldn't be arsed with the charcoal..)

I started off using the dry rub recipe that yanky Dave put up earlier and have been trying different sauces that I put on with about an hour to go when I wrap them up.
I also can get pork riblets which are pretty much half rack sized off cuts for $12 a kilo from my mate who's brother owns a bulk meat supply shop in myaree. Down side is that minimum 10kgs and frozen, also they come in varying thickness rather than a nice full rack but I did 7kgs in my smoker at once for a party and they came out mint. I just kept spraying in heaps of apple juice to stop the smaller thinner ones from drying out.
I could probably hook some guys up if they wanted to go this route.

once every month or 2 my local IGA get these really nice ribs in. Cannot recal the brand, but they crap all over the standard supermarket shiz. I always get as many as i can carry if they have them on the shelf, because they never last long down there. Im sure there is another fat bastard like me who knows how good they are and buys up whenever they are in stock.

Got some ribs on the go. I'm adding a splash of bourbon in to help tender them up in the oven before BBQ.That works a treat.

Yes that's definitely different. Looks much better!

The one in Northbridge has pizza and salad and all this weird stuff on there.... That one you've linked is straight to business, all the meat, coleslaw and other good stuff!

I went to lonestar this week, it's tasty. Not the best I've had but I've gone back a few times as it's still pretty nice and saucey. It's this threads fault I keep going out for ribs every time I read it.

Picked up some beef ribs this week from Coles. About a kg worth there.
Just threw the rub on at 11am and into the fridge, may need to wait until tomorrow to cook them?

Also, should the sauce go on now or when I am cooking them? I was thinking of doing them a few hours in the oven on low heat, then finish them off on the bbq.
