Default Freeway to bunbury

Is there a servo on the freeway from Joondalup going all the way through to Bunbury? If there isnt then this must be a record for a city. Wouldnt mind a MacJacks on the freeway somewhere just so the kids can refuel also.

It's funny...100km between services (where you don't have to deviate by 2 minutes via an off ramp) is too far...

Onslow - Karratha is a 4 hour return trip with nothing in between the two just to go to a supermarket to buy decent veggies.....

3-400 Km between roadhouses on some stretches above Shark bay.

Media whinge much?

I guess the difference is, Ross, that the Bunbury Highway will be used a hell of a lot more than any point above shark bay.
40,000 cars per day, was it? You can't really argue with that..
I agree though, 100ks is not that much; nothing really to be worked into a tizzy about. But there is a high volume of traffic that goes through there so I can see where they're coming from.

you'll get those Shark bay truckies that say "I hall two trailers worth of stuff for 500ks without thinking about my petrol light.. how can you whinge about no petrol station for 100 ks?" but the point is that it's a different situation. A run to Bunno now is pretty much in that no-man's land thought of 'well it's really not that far now, there's bound to be a station soon.. they'll have one, right?" The average person might just not think about it and the next thing you know they're on the side of the road calling the RAC/friends.

...And morons be them

Most of the major off ramps have servos within a couple of hundred metres, e.g. Forrest Rd, Thomas Rd, Safety Bay Rd. It's a freeway FFS, not a supermarket carpark (although it may look like most weekdays).

I bet the first thing to go in as a drive through will be a Muzz Buzz.....

Seriously....... like the people above posted there are plenty of service stations...catch is you have to get off the freeway....Just like you have to on ANY of Perth's freeways...

Oh dear how bad is it when people won't even go out of their way for themselves let alone anybody else........... FArk the population is getting soft.... Harden up!

The parents live down Mandurah way and I live in the City, so I find myself driving to and from struggletown quite often.

I know that if i'm low on petrol I can get off on Paganoni Rd, Safety Bay Rd, Thomas Road, Forrest Rd, Beeliar Drive, South St, Leach Hwy, Manning Road and Mill Point Road. Its the same with most of the exits on the way down to bunbury.

What happened to the good old days when you would check your oil/water/fuel levels before a 100klm journey. Take responsibility peoples, if you run out of petrol on the freeway, its your own fault!
