Ensure its a quality aggregate concrete finish. There are several dubious types of so called aggregate which are far from the quality 'wog' product

The proper wog way is to make some yard ornaments out of the leftover concrete... pillars, lions, etc

If you are going to go to all the effort of exposed might aswell get some colour put in it. We just poured mountains of it down at the boat harbour at hillarys in black and it looks shit hot. Material cost is about $290 m3. Normal 20 / 20 grey is about about $190 / m3.

I thought all the ornaments were made out of plaster not concrete.

Floor tiles FTW. (After plain grano floor laid).

45° with half tile contrast border, random blush main tile and dark grey grout, double sealed.

Just for something a little different, $ave heap$ of $$$ and hardest wearing of the lot. Also weed/ant proof.

exposed aggregate is the best way mate , I have done everything in this stuff, Large 3 car driveway, paths all around the entire house and then the alfresco and spa area all in it also. I went for the white oyster cream ,

What ever you do dont go pavers, Pavers are shit, over the years they sink, ants, weeds,
decking can look good but you have to maintain it at least 2 times a year.

Dont do plain concrete thats just boring. for the small price difference just go exposed.

Generally I have found they need to cart at least 3.2 cube i thought so with the extra make up some slabs,
I made stepping stone slabs from the left over, and used them around the gardens and near letter box etc.

Most ornaments are, but some of the pillars and other things are made of cement or concrete.

We just call it "concrete" for the sake of pulling the piss out of our wog friends and family
