Politics on the internet is like rough anal sex without lube (in the hetero sense of course - sorry jan), you jump in without thinking. In brief, imho, im not a fan of the labour party, you could even say im a capitalist, but given the circumstances of the GFC and Australia's position, I don't see it being any better nor worse - and thankfully the outlook is bright for this country, more importantly this state. I wouldn't vote for him, he's far from a people's prime minister BUT YOU KHUNTS ELECTED HIM SO TOUGH SHIT :P

Rudd has spent more time out of the country as PM than any other PM. Travelling the world on our tax payer money. This leaves others like Julia Gillard running the country, who were not voted in as PM. Wasn't one of KRudd's campaign issues against Howard that 'who will be the PM if elected'? He has just done the same by stealth.

What has KRudd done to help the Australian public out? Given them a few hundred dollars as 'stimulus cash' but still lets billions of dollars of work go offshore (have a look where most of the big ticket projects in WA Gorgon/Sino etc are actually being sourced from). Keep 25% of that work in Australia and there would be no economic crisis.

Soon we will have this carbon tax implemented, which Labor say 90% of the population will be subsidised for. WTF is the point then if on one hand we pay this tax and on the other hand the government is giving it back?

Next we will have this internet filter in place stopping the general Australian public from finding anything out that may be 'offensive' or against government policy.

Yet no one questions this. There are not headlines about this. It is all happening in stealth without all the facts being on the table. As mentioned by Alan Jones in the link, John Hewson had to discuss every in and out of the proposed GST, yet KRudd is able to not tell the people who elected him what on earth he is doing.

Also here is an interesting read about ETS. A leading CSIRO Professor had his paper supressed by the government becuase it disagreed with their views, so he had it published in Norway instead.

I take one look at what the Libs are up to, and I wonder if they would be doing any better?

Add the new work place laws that will be starting in a couple of weeks to the list of "accomplishments" that Krudd and that Ginga have in store for us.
They can't even explain how its going to work to business owners so what chance have we got. I can't wait to see how this will pan out for us. Krudd managed to do what all Labour governments do but in record time. Spend the budget surplus and put us in deficit, create unworkable workplace awards system, etc etc. Same old labour same old results.

The thing is, they couldn't be doing any worse.

Watching items that were shot down by Labor when the Liberals were in power, that are now being introduced by Labor makes me laugh.

Workplace law changes to 'help the working man' will only make the working man worse off. With the amount of idiots putting their 2c into policies, these laws become far too complex and unworkable.
