We used to have DingleBerries in our Business with BES. Pissed 'em off as they were too hard to support at an Enterprise level, as well as we are running a full Exchange 2010 backend.
CIO liked iPhone's as well which was the death of them, Easy to setup with Exchange etc.

Wouldn't that be plan dependant?

Trackball has been gone for some months. Even the entry level ones I buy for the peasants has gone away from the trackball. Correct. Remembering that you cant use them as a modem on your laptop and browsing is rather slow people are not going to be downloading epic data / pointless apps. Quote:

^^^ Hearing ya Brendon. Had seen the new version of mine had done away with it so had already planned to go with one of them come upgrade time. The trackball for me is the only obvious weak link. Seems this new one has a little more fruit which is nice

Im getting a bit confused here...
So if I go and buy a blackberry, I can tell me teleco that I have one, they will give me some uber plan for $20 which gives unlimited data? Or are we talking about just the normal phone caps that come with unlimited data?

Only if you have an Enterprise Server.
Any data that goes through the server is UNLIMITED. I have a $79 cap which covers up to $500 of calls, and unlimited data via the Enterprise Server. Generally you will set up Blackberry plans with your Telco if you have an Enterprise Server, and this will all work hand in hand. I'm still trying to work out how I can get my streaming internet radio app to work through the BES, so I can listen to it all day with no data charges incurred Last edited by BALISTC; 09-06-2010 at 12:46 PM. |

It's more polished than the 9000 in every area.. only disadvantage is the smaller keypad takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do, its fine. |

If I have Google Maps open and I forget to exit out of it, it'll annihilate the battery in a very short time. Just make sure you exit out of anything you're not using at the time, rather than just hitting the Red "No" button to go back to the main screen. |

I dont get that becuase the data that you use over seas, is charged out from the telco in that country to your telco then on charged to you.
So how is it that any plan or phone can change what over seas telcos are charging you ? And surely its the phone plan that decides on your data allowance not the phone that the sim card is in. In reference to the Overseas, as i understand the enterprise server if your in Australia. |
