Or are you saying you can push any other web traffic through the BES resulting in it being 'free'? So I could tether my BB to a laptop and browse pwrx for free? If so, I'll be getting a BB instantly. It seems more to me that the $79 cap is covering your data, not the Blackberry devices.

My missus has her BB with Vodafail, $30 Nothing burger plan, with BIS Package makes $49 Unlimited downloads (AS LONG AS THE FILE IS BELOW 2MB A POP) Which if you are in the BB Store, most are under 2mb. She sits on AIM/Ichat all day to me, facebooks, downloads shit. $49 everytime! It kicks iPhones ass in that aspect |

Interesting...
Just looking on the Vodafone site, to get unlimited BIS is $99/month... $49 would be winner!

Dont even bother reading their website, it is a fucking disaster.
I called them, asked them, they said you can go on ANY plan and just pay the $19 extra Per month for a BIS (BlackBerry Internet Server) package and bobs your uncle, they send you the service books and you are cooking with gas. Or become an uber nerd, install BES on a VM at home, create your own exchange server and link your domain thru to it and run your own BES Server for free* After you "buy" BES from thepiratebay and pay for your adsl link |

I have supported BB and iPhone.
personally iPhone shits all over BB when it comes to supporting the end user and also for app downloads etc.. Joe is right in saying it is Enterprise driven, as a business ONLY tool it is invaluable and thats where iPhone drops the ball, especially with exchange integration on a high volume user who likes to send meeting reqs and shit from their phone to all staff. iPhone then gets renamed to iFail. I love messing with the missus' BB especially how you can have as many apps as you want running (hopefully OS4 fixes this for iPhone) |

BB would be good for basic web browsing and it does not always load the full page, would need to refresh a couple of times before loading the full page. Also, the loading speed for the website is much slower than Iphone.
If you are going to use much internet/games on your phone, stick to Iphone cause that will shit on BB any day. Anything other than that ie email, bb msg etc stick with BB As mentioned, BB is a workhorse on steroids.

Plus the BB hates Jquery and Java most of the time.
Go to any java rich site and it craps itself The BB probably has flash though where the iPhone iFails on that!!!! |
