I can see people dobbing us in about the steam coming out the exhaust because we lane split and beat them.

Lol..I got a letter from the EPA after a turbo seal failure on a 13b turbo (on the freeway in peak hour lol) some years ago (1999?).

Said something along the lines of:
"you have to repair your vehicle due to excess emissions"
"you have to show proof of the repair in the form of a tax invoice from a qualified repairer"

I sent them a reply asking them to prove there was anything wrong with the car...... I never heard anything back.

The system "was" in place - in the end the amount of vehicles that were reported and eventually passed caused the process to be given away. IMHO - this is what will happen this time as well.

The general public being utilised as emission police did nothing but cause undue costs .
