hey guys did a quick search
was just wondering if anyone has gotten their iphone wet, really wet, and been able to bring it back to life?
if so how?

I've read about chucking it in rice.

Rice absorbs all the moisture out, and so long as there is not physical damage there can be win.

Don't try turning it on, just leave it to dry for a day or 2. Usually works fine once the water subsides.

Hair Dryer ? I dropped my sony ericsson in the sink and I used a blow dryer... worked fine for me but then again its Sony Ericsson, don't know about Iphone

yeah the rice trick works. A friend of mine did it on her iPhone when I told her to give it a go.

fully submerge it in the bowl of rice, leave it over night. Disgard rice afterwards

Altho, it would only be a temporary fix, as phones when wet will eventually begin to rust over time, so I would say you might be looking for a new phone in a year or 2 anyway, but lets face it, who keeps a phone that long anyway!

If you haven't turned it on before drying it you should get it going again. The water will cause rust at some point though.

really i would be taking it to one of those little shops in shopping center and get it opened up and clean the boards and get rid of any moisture.

then after all that try turn it on.

open it up, and contact cleaner the crap out of it.

Has saved a few phones from drowning.
