Default Internet providers

Okay guys..

fken eftel bunch of twats net been down for nearly 2 weeks with a couple of days of grace...

Now looking at switching providers..

TGP, telstra or Iinet. I know that telstra and iinet are expensive for what they provide compared to TGP.

But my question is which one of those three providers dont fail and have excellent service to fix a problem if it were to occur..

Discuss..

i had tpg and hated it because of terrible service. im now with iinet and cannot speak more highly of there service and are cheaper than tpg. with iinet i started on a 10g/10g naked adsl2+ plan, ive since been upgraded twice and now im on a 50g/50g plan for the same price i was paying for the smaller plan. the best thing about their service is the person you talk to is in wa, they will look after you. iinet all the way!

Exactly the same story here.

However, have not yet had a fault/line issue or anything needing repairing. That will be the telling factor.

Bang on with your summary of TPG 'took me a while to get my issue resolved with them', but if its high quota for a cheap price you want then they are your best bet. TPG's customer service is shit, all they will tell you is to reboot your modem/pc and have you tried another modem on your computer, they also work on EST, and am assuming the supporting cast of Slumdog Millionaire are under its employ)

http://www.tpg.com.au/products_servi...cing/adsl2plus (TPG ADSL2+ Plans.

If customer services and efficient turnaround is on your priority list then I'd add Westnet to your selection, only reason I moved on from westnet was its pricing compared to market at the time. Customer service with Westnet runs 24/7 and I've been in situations where the help desk operator wouldn't let me off the phone as he was annoyed that they couldn't resolve the issue (was all done professionally at the same time)'.

http://www.westnet.com.au/broadband/plans.html (Westnet ADSL2+ Plans)

I've not subscribed to any of the others you've mentioned.

I'll be moving to TPG's 500gig plan soon and for $60 per month its very reasonable (spewing they don't have adsl2+ unlim in WA yet, its $50 per month in Sydney o_O)

I've had TPG for a few years now. Im not too worried about tech support/service since I can handle myself with any tech support.

I you can handle your own tech support, TPG is probably one of the best bang for your buck.

Without a doubt I'd be churning over to iiNet.
They might be a little bit more expensive compared to other providers, but over the last 10+ years, I can count on one hand the amount of times we encountered problems.

The freezone they offer is bloody great as well!

iiNet has purchased Westnet quite some time ago.

Edit: Worth a look => http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/
