Nope, usually it comes up with the phones name (Waynos iPhone) etc but just came up with iPhone then NA for all the other sections of phone info.

So even better news now, went to restore to the factory settings and comes up with "error 23" saying it cannot be restored which is an "Unfixable hardware error" top work Apple!!!!
:Thin5:

You have been unlucky. Both my 3GS and 4, have been not a single hiccup since day dot.

But, I mean, I understand you having the bad taste in your mouth. So going Nokia/BB etc now, makes sense.

Brent.

Do you have another computer or laptop ? install itunes on it and it should restore, come across this issue once, had to use a different laptop to kick it off again

Tried it on the PC at Vodafone, also my 2 laptops at home and all 3 times it comes up with the ERROR 23/unfixable hardware error.

I've found a fix for it but it involves taking the phone apart and replacing a capacitor and re-soldering some points as they have basically melted off, fark that I'll just get a Galaxy S or HTC with Android.

lol @ angry consumer. Never mind about the 5000 million billion gajillion Iphone units that have NOT had this fault... I bet somewhere in the world someone's Nokia, BB, HTC etc has fucked up too. Get over it, shit happens :)

Kato 05-11-2010 09:22 AM

I can list far more issues with HTC phones than iPhones... but anyways...

Can't you get the phone fixed under warranty? Or if you are still under contract get a free upgrade?
