Have had further conversations with the organiser Tim. He expressed how Aussie's have some "big balls" and the event is selling very fast in WA with 26-27 cars from Perth alone with another 11 odd internationals having all paid their deposits. "Unbelievable response . . ."

Due to the number of cars from Perth he was looking at organising a group vehicle transport to lower costs.

I also have the "destination" . I am willing to inform those I know personally via email or PM.

All in all - looking to be a event to remember. I personally will be using the event to be a fund raiser for a charity that I support although I haven't determined which one I will be approaching as yet.

Im really thinking about it Andrew.. Just need to get someone willing to go halves in the costs and a few other things, like whether im going to get a sequential box... lols

Earlier this evening myself and my lead driver Lachlan (Mr Scorpio) attempted to contact Tim Porter in regards to things like money re-imbursment, change of dates and making sure that The Cannonball Run Rat Race is still going ahead.

We have spent thousands of dollars not only on entrance money ($10,040 paid in full) but also flights to Brisbane/The Gold Coast, accommodation at the Marriot hotel, dinner at Dracula's restaurant not to mention thousands more spent on getting our Cannonball car up and running.

Tim has since dissapeared off both of our Facebook pages, the Australian sub-section of the Cannonball World Events is now gone and nobody (Jo or Tim Porter) is answering either the international phone line nor the UK-specific phone line (we dialled internationally).

If anybody else has put down any money into Cannonball's accounts or knows how we can possibly get in contact with either Tim or Jo from Cannonball World Events PLEASE contact us.
