Dave, im disappointed you did not consult me on this matter first considering i sell the damn things every day

We get all those hatches through the yard regularly and i would happily recommend a Hyundai i30 over all of them.

- Winner of best small car under $35,000 this year, and twice previously as well.
- 5 year, unlimited km warranty.
- Cheap servicing only every 15,000kms/12months.
- Very comfy and very easy to drive.
- And as JME said, if you go the turbo diesel, even better on fuel than the 2.0l Petrol which is not exactly thirsty to start with.

i30, hands down.

Vw polo tdi with dsg. Awesome car and just won a bunch of awards. I'm trying to convince my sister to buy one. Failing that the i30 seems to be quite popular. Only reason if suggest the Vw is i drove a caddy for 3 months, rung its neck alot of the time and it still returned 700kms a tank without fail.

Thanks for the responses so far.

Polo would be nice, but she is worried its too small, and once you option the dsg it gets closer to $30k than $25.

She is very keen on the Subaru because of the fantastic service they give down in Albany, so at this point she is probably swayed in that direction. However she is driving an i30 this week to compare.

I noticed Ford has a really good deal on the Focus LX Auto, $22,990 Drive away,
which has all the fruit.

Keep the ideas coming, i30 seems to be the most popular choice so far.

Porsche 911 GTS.

Failing that, VW Polo 77something comfortline. Can't remember the proper name.
