My HSDPA provider is Vodafone 5gig/$39 month plan for 24 mon ths includes a free modem. The connection has improved greatly since december and always gets better and so does the coverage. Best thing about VF is they dont charge you extra when you are roaming, All the other providers charge you extra when you roam outside of their 3G Network.

OK, I've bought and installed my new wireless router, it has the option of WPA & WPA2 encryption, then PSK or EAP....

Which one is suitable for my home network?

WPA will be fine mate.

Combination of WPA and MAC will be pretty hard to crack into to say the least.

I'm still running on WEP and that does a good enough a job.

Hide SSID and power off when not using it.

I'm pretty sure that your printer would need to be part of your wireless LAN in order to print from your laptop. Thats how it works at my work.

On the desktop under printers, make sure your printer is shared.

On the laptop add a new printer and search for a shared/network printer. It should show up in the list as the name you shared it as.
