Time to get your car out from under that tree......

IDW28201
Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology
Western Australia

TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for Damaging Winds
For people west of a line from Jurien Bay to Dalwallinu to Narrogin to
Busselton, including the Perth Metropolitan Area, Mandurah, Bunbury, and York.
Issued at 2:20 pm on Saturday 29 January 2011

WEATHER SITUATION

People are advised that a line of severe thunderstorms is moving rapidly
southwards at around 90 kilometres per hour. The storms are currently
approaching the metropolitan area and affecting communities between Dalwallinu
and Gingin. If the storms continue on their present track they will reach the
Bunbury-Busselton area between 4 and 5 pm.

There is the risk of damaging gusts to 110 kilometres per hour with
thunderstorms. Wind gusts to 104 kilometres per hour were recorded this morning
as the thunderstorms moved over Geraldton. These storms are not expected to
produce large hail.

WHAT TO DO
FESA State Emergency Service [SES] advises people to secure loose items, move
vehicles under cover and stay inside away from windows. If there is lightning
unplug electrical appliances and avoid using landline telephones. If caught
outside find shelter away from trees, powerlines, storm water drains and
streams. If driving through heavy rain slow down and turn your lights on or if
visibility becomes low pull over and park until it passes. For SES assistance
call 132 500. For more safety tips visit www.fesa.wa.gov.au

The next warning will be issued by 5:00pm WST Saturday.

I joked to a Brisbane mate that "we've been Queenslanded". Hot , Humid with a severe storm and cyclone coming.

Sounds like Queensland to me.
