Default Bike Insurance

A bit off topic, but as most of you have bikes, who do you use for Insurance?

I am currently with Shannons and have been with RAC but I have been looking at changing from Shannons extreme use policy to a full comp able to ride whenever I like policy.

I have seen Swann insurance are very cheap but looking at insurance reviews, out of the 40 reviews, 39 are bad LOL

I see insure my ride is overall cheapest and I see bikepoint have them as a sponsor but there are no reviews.

I have tried QBE, SGIO, RAC, Swann, Shannons, Insure my ride so far and Insure my ride are the best on policy price and excess.

I've used Insure My Ride for all 3 bikes I've owned, no problems so far and like yourself I found them to be the cheapest. I haven't made a claim though so can't comment on how they handle that.

Have a read of PSB, there are a few insurance review/opinion threads.

I saw a f4 agusta on the back of a tow truck last week with FFour numberplates. Looks like it had been dropped.. That sucks - it was a pretty bike

Hey Dan, Swann are actually pretty good and have great policies that include helmets etc....

I am a rep for them and can give 20% discounts

Ouch, how bad was it?

I sold it a couple of months back by the way, the new owner just got his R-class so I hope he hasn't written it or himself off already.

I have mates who are with them and say they are cheap, but have never claimed.

Just read this and see what you think.

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/swann-insurance.html

Whilst you are there, read Shannons. A huge difference.

P.S Not trying to bag out your products, I wanted to use them as my old boy knows the owner of the company, but with reviews like that. No thanks.

But i take those reviews with a grain of salt, there will be exactly the same thing for most insurance companies

You are right. You can't please everybody

Anyway. Insure my ride got my business. PSB seem to think they are good, in some of the threads I read, They were cheaper than shannons and allow me to ride the bike to work unlike shannons.
