^^^^ Landrover = FAIL!!! Got tired of pulling them out of the shit with broken with broken drivetrains with my Hilux. I am biased though of course. I have had several toyotas and all have served me well. I have a mate who is a rangie nut and loves them and gets them to go places and not break.

Most off the shelf proper 4WD's (as opposed to SUV's) will get you where you want to go off road these days, some will just do it a little easier. And nothing wrong with an auto for most 4WDing....they do have their advantages.

whats the body work like on these you reckon? had a sheep jump at the (current shape) hilux and fuck it up pretty bad, both doors on drivers side. wrapped a 3/4 extension bar up in a jumper and they all popped straight back out, just now its all crinkled lol

Guess you missed the part where I mentioned installing a stronger drivetrain
My 1973 Series III Land Rover though...solid as can be and as reliable as they come. Not a thing you can't fix on a old Land Rover with a hammer and a screw driver

With her top off:
