Having recently gone back to bike riding, and i know how grim this sounds, I now started to look into life insurance. Can anyone tell me whether insurance will pay out on a bike accident regardless of the engine capacity? If you have life insurance, what's your premium like and how much are you insured for?

Main reason for this is I don't want anyone having to fork out and pay off my morgage (i know they can sell the house but i've put a lot of effort into it).

Also for those who say..."don't ride if you scared, blah blah" - you obviously do not understand. I love it too much and don't want to give it away

Will they even insure you if you ride a bike? Mate of mine who rides can't get life insurance, though he works on the ropes on oil rigs too so maybe its the combination of the two

I have policies for Income protection, TPD and Life. I am worth a bit deceased, hence the policies aren't cheap.
But I sleep better at night knowing that if anything does happen to me, my wife and kids will be well provided for.

A tip to the people looking at this for the 1st time...take out life insurance prior to partaking in risky pasttimes.

I have several life insurance policies and through duty of disclosure I am covered by 2 of them when activley participating ion motorsport (rallying) as they were taken out prior to doing any motorsport above club level. as they were taken out before even thogh I have now disclosed mortorsport activities I am still insured if I am killed or disabled when participating, whereas new policies post motorsport do not.

Stace i understand if income cover premiums went up depending on how much i earn but surely life insurance depends on how old you are and how risky your hobby is/whether you smoke etc
