in case anyone was wondering, was at race torque again today and had a bit more of a look at this thing:



it's an 05 WRX owned by some guy who works on the mines in Kal. It's got a full S204 interior, cluster etc etc (i guess thats why he put the badges on), 6 speed with DCCD conversion, GIANT Cosworth calipers and rotors (fronts were 355mm with 6 or 8 pots), full cosworth engine build, big Garret snail and so much other stuff. From looking at it, looks like all the suspension arms, A arms and all that Jazz had been replaced with aftermarket stuff, Perrin diff cover, S204 running gear etc etc. Apparently the guy just replaces everything that you can, goes on the net buys the best of the best and rocks up at Race Torque and gets them to fit it - half the stuff doesnt even bolt straight on and they have to custom fab things to make it work. Don't know if he ever tracks it or anything like that, it had works wheels (i think XD9's) but just some hankooks non semi slicks on it

its a pretty impressive car, lots of carbon fibre and high end gear - but not sure if the owner has much of a clue
