A more sophisticated method that I used to use on my MY97, was an Eclipse mints tin. it fit PERFECTLY under the lever and held it open so I could open the flap by hand

Way cheaper than $8.40 that Subaru charge for the clip, and assisted with maximum breath freshness at all times.

Key also fits perfectly and pops fuel cap open. Ask me how I know

Only got to drive my new Rex for a few days as i only picked it up a few days before i flew back to work.Every day out here i cant stop thinking about getting home and driving it again. Thats what makes me happy
