My latest toy
Currently in Munich on a work trip and went into this department store called Manufactum.. it basically carries every category of product you can think of, but high quality European brands and lots of stuff you can't find anywhere else. I came across this section of what I'd call big boys toys.. and saw this locked in a glass cabinet. It's called a Böhm Stirling-Technik engine. Basically its a tiny little stirling-cycle engine on a 15cm long platform (look it up, stirling cycle is basically a principal of an engine working on expanding and contracting of hot/cool air in a completely sealed combustion chamber), made out of cnc machined stainless steel and solid brass, with ridiculously high quality ball bearings keeping everything running smoothly. Not the cheapest thing in the world, but fuck me it looked so awesome and I thought it would make a killer office desk toy.. and I paid 10 euros less and got the DIY kit version which I have to assemble myself, even better!!! Did a little Google on it when I got it back to the hotel and with my tax refund at the airport, paid less than any online price I could find (most are straight from Europe and shipping is high because the little sucker weighs quite a bit). Score! Bohm Stirling HB14 Hot Air Engine - YouTube |

I mean this in a good way but why not get a wrx? What made you decide on the Mazda? It has more torque but that seems to be it. The wrx has 4wd, bigger capacity, lower compression ratio, no electronic torque reduction in first and second gears and now even wide bodies.
What are the key strengths of the Mazda? It is still a great car and still fits into the same general genre as the wrx, Evo etc. |

That is a seriously cool desk toy. Plus, not that I am a smoker, but you also get twin constant cigar lighters too.
