I am considering making a frisbee out of my iphone right now.

Last 24 hours -

Plugged into itunes, told me there was a new version of OS4 available, hit the usual download and install button.

Phone turned itself off, and went to reinstall its drivers so it could reboot. This failed. Tried to get phone in dfu mode. This refused to work. Tried like 50 times.

Went to apple store today. They gave me a new phone. At least it works.

Come home, plug it into pc, flashes up with your usual menu asking what you like to do.

Turn itunes on, does not recognise phone.

Deleted itunes etc, follwed the apple support instructions, nothing. No luck.

Note: If using a 64-bit version of Windows, this folder may be stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
Double-click the "usbaapl.inf" file which is listed in this folder. (This file will be called "usbaapl64.inf" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows).
Click OK in the "Install from Disk" dialog.
Click Next and finish the driver-installation steps. Open iTunes to verify that the device is recognized properly.

As per my pic below - I dont have this folder and thus file...

I presume if someone has this in their directory they could email it to me and I could insert it and load it up?

I am using windows 7 64 bit, all updates installed.

Sorted - walked next door with a usb stick, copied drivers off neighbours pc.

Fuck you apple for making that so hard.
