New car, first time with no brake booster, new navigator, no testing, new notes new type of tyres and new roads. Epic recipe for success!

Bets of luck at high country urabus. This whole build up has been great to read.
My car is going on the the back of the truck that is towing Pete's trailer with his GTR. I had a long talk to him yesterday at AHG and also at Performance West. He is a really nice guy and seemingly not what I imagined.

Thanks guys.

All jokes aside I have paid my entry (or at least the deposit) for all three rounds of the championship so I think this first round will be to try and keep the thing straight and depending on our position on Saturday night have a bit of a go on Sunday. The forecast is chance of fog etc so having decent notes will hopefully be a big advantage. Driving to them when you cant see out the windscreen because you have no demister is a whole other thing though!

12v heater fan - light and could be most useful!

Also impressed with the additional weight loss outside of the car - top work!

Can you use a heated windscreen in these classes? Just another option.

Build is very impressive.

^^^^ Yep. Just a delay in getting it I think.

A quick fix is the stick on demisting stripe kit like the ones used on rear windows. Visually the stripes are a little annoying but they do the job and they seem to dissapear as the red mist descends. . $50 out of the US.

My mate at work saw your car there on Friday whilst he was working on Peter's car. He said how great it looked!

Good luck at High Country mate, You're a braver man than me on those roads! haha

Indeed. As awesome a job as Race Torque have done building the car their project management skills are epic fail. As a project manager the day the order for the job comes in you sit down and order every last nut / bolt / piston etc that you need to finish that job. There are still a few things outstanding one of which is the screen.

There is a screen and a 12v heater included in the R4 kit. If I am 3 seconds / km off the pace there is no point spending the money but after a couple of rallies if we are close then the R4 kit would certainly be worth looking into.

Thanks for all the well wishes people. Prologue is on Friday and the event starts for real on Saturday. Will be interesting to see how we go at prologue.

The forecast for Sunday up at Buller looks interesting so it might just be a battle of attrition.

Brendon
