on a serious note im not sure warranty covers water mistakes, but that being said, a friend recently replaced theirs under warranty after taking it into the beach with them accidently (without telling them it was water damage).. women right?

take it into apple -- do not diclose the details at all. just say it stopped working and they should replace it.

they will test the phone for water damage Jaron, which isn't covered under warranty, and then they won't replace it under warranty. It will cost you $240 for a new unit.

I did however get a new phone under warranty when mine got water damaged by giving them a great story that they couldn't refuse! Call me, and I'll let you know what to do.

Iphone has 4 water sensitive strips inside. Second it is exposed they turn pink.

You can see it if you look down the headphone jack after its been wet.

Go in, be polite and honest, you MIGHT get a new phone (I did)

It takes them all of 10 seconds to see its been water damaged. All phones have those strips.

One of the boss's put his in the oven for a while to dry it out after his wifey did the washing ....pink strips turned to white......Apple gave him new phone....Personally I wouldnt do it. BUT... there you go...

I went in and told Apple I think mine MAY have gotten wet, (pink strips indicated it was/did, they gave me new phone for $180? ish ?)
