First date restaurant (another food thread)

epic bump but back on the ran tan and have got a date hooked up for thursday. Need to organise something asap.

Was thinking maybe somewhere casual then comedy club.

Dont want to set the bar too high too early so not really looking at something like zafferanos on a school night.

I had one at Siennas last sat.. way too many brats running around, urge to kill rose steadily through night.

I took a another to little ceasers in leederville then San Churros the other week - Little Ceasers is brilliant but if its packed and you cant get a table your fucked. No bookings.

Ellington Rocks mate, depends on the booking schedule you sit sedately and appreciate the jazz group perform, its low key and very much about the art of jazz. I love the stuff so really got into the vibe. upstairs has a more casual bar environment, but overall i reckon it would work tip top as a leg opener!

Thought about little cesaers but it is hardly somewhere you can sit down and have a decent chat.

I thought of the royal but thought I would like to do something a little different than just dinner.

Last time I went to ellington there was a big group of us and it was awesome hence the idea to go back there. Close to home and figured there was a good chance she has not been there before.

We got lucky at little ceasers - got our own table, was perfect.

If you do ellington, let me know when, might have to time it to co-incide, so we both have an escape clause

the Moon cafe on Thurs nights 9pm has live jazz, very relaxed atmosphere in a 70s decor

the garden? pretty relaxed, most of the food on the menu is to share.
