If the banter, jokes etc stayed in the off-topic threads, I wouldn't mind. But it continually creeps into build, technical and event threads turning those threads to shit. Jap day thread is a prime example (noted I did partake in the sandy v fest). I just find myself logging in less and less each week, but unfortunately you can never escape the problem, there are just many people talking complete shit in the workplace, university etc etc.

In saying all that, I have met and befriended people on this forum that I otherwise would have never met and am thankful for that.

So basically, everyone keeps coming to the same opinion in this thread.
This place isnt that bad, there are some people who talk shit here (just like the real world)
People are happy that they are here because you get to see some awesome builds, cars and some epically funny lols ( just like real life)
We all dont like the some of the shit that teejay says but its kinda hard not to agree because he is just saying what people are thinking due to his "fucks given = 0" attitude.
So what everyone has said is that the forum could be a representation of real life but where everyone has 1 common denominator - we all have a love/passion/interest in subaru performance cars.

If someone like Shane brings the issue up in Feb, and its up again and people still agree (withstanding the fact Im an asshole etc) , maybe the mods needs to put their heads together and have a chat.

On another forum I moderate (not antilag) we dictated that any off topic chat in build/technical/serious threads would be deleted.

This way people can still chat and be friendly, but you dont clutter the good stuff.

Just a suggestion.

TJ, don't make out Antilag is the holy grail of a perfect forum where everyone is so nice and the mods make everything super happy for all forum users.

Personally, I think P-WRX is fine. If it was over moderated, it would become EvoOz and that would suck donkey dick. The mods actually have jobs and a real life outside the internet too, so sometimes threads don't get pulled/edited straight away.

Everyone has their knickers in a twist over nothing. If people want something moderated, post it up - don't assume we are mind readers. Sometimes I don't know the 100 things happening behind the scenes in the 1,000 circle jerk clubs that exist in Perth where a tag in a thread offends someone.

It seems if people have an issue, they bottle it up.

I do find it highly amusing how ppl are bitching about threads getting derailed, yet they are the main culprits for threads being derailed.

Anyways.
