i had a shindig about 5 years ago at Cheers in vic park. not sure what the pub is called but there is a huge room with big bar area plus dancefloor etc. only cost $200 for the whole upstairs and that included 2 bar staff. they do platters of food etc. worth a look.

Was looking at places near the city area, so if i survive i am able to hit the clubs easier.
