Default 2005 ford xr8 replacement engine

hello all

My friends above car has shat itself and long story short she needs a replacement engine and wants to know the cost of a replacment engine and how much to install?

any info would be great

just drop a xr6 turbo or cheap crate motor init, unless you can source a written off xr8 with the same series motor (pretty sure most of them have blown up or been destroyed and they stopped making them a while ago lol)

Turbo 6 is not practical - entire car would need rewiring almost.

You are looking at a few grand for a new bottom end. Do not buy from a Ford dealer.

Just need a bogan to have crashed a new gs ute and then you can get the coyote motor out of that. Supercharged FTW!!!!

But you should be able to source a 2nd hand engine from a wreckers, don't think there that cheap though

Grab a barra 290 motor, runs 10.5:1 compression instead of the 260's 9.5:1
Better cams too
