I am looking to get a domain name for my business,
Where is the best place to get one?
Also what happens with e-mails?
Do u have to use their server,e-mail accounts?
I am with bigpond now and their e-mail service is utter s***t
don't want to get stuck with the same

I'm with Netregistry, but that is just one of many (it was very cheap).
They only provide me with the domain name and the DNS. I use hotmail for accessing my emails. You can set it up easily and then just point your MX records on the DNS to the URL that Microsoft provides you with. It is free, easy to use and easy to access.

you can register your domain name at companies like netregistry.com.au, melbourneit.com.au, or even iinet.net.au

Any of these companies will have a paid service for your email account(s) and FYI I use iinet's Zimbra hosted email service so I can sync my email between all my computers, phones, and webmail, and know that exactly the same data will apear on all these devices which is a godsend.

I believe you can even pay Google about $50 per year to host your domain email but don't quote me.

Also not sure about price but this is by far the easiest way to get some proper email hosting and addresses set up.

I use CrazyDomains for my domain name, registration is whoever is cheapest. Hosting you want to make sure you have the right people doing it, you dont' want your email/website going down when people are trying to use it.

Worth looking at Google hosting for sure.
