As mentioned by a few others, traffic in the area can be of a problem at times.

I work in the city and drive into work at 6:30, arrive and park up by 7:10, but I cut through Thornlie as I pick up a co-worker.

Misses works in Nedlands and leaves sometime around 7:40 to 8:00 (takes Garden, High, Leach, Freeway) most days, best times she has averaged is about 40-45mins, sometimes that blows out to about an hour if it has rained or is starting to rain.

The area that we are in has been quite since we moved in.
Might get the occasional light or commercial air craft that flies past, but it isn't too bad.

Also agree with Steve in regards to the value of homes/land here, we paid more than I would have been happy to, but we got a house that we love to live in, have minimal work to do to it and have pretty good neighbours.

Overall it is a nice place to buy into with plenty of shopping centres in close proximity!

Isn't there a prison in canning vale?

I'd love to live in the same suburb as a prison...

Hakea Prison and Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre.

Both are located next to each other and are located down where Nicholson Road and Warton Road meet.
Located more on the edge of CV, not in the middle of it.

Yep much nicer in Harrisdale and Southern River than CV imo, also prices seem to be better too but all depends on what you're looking for.

I live in Piara Waters. Excellent suburb. Lived in Huntingdale for 8 years before that.
Like most others have eluded to the traffic during peak times to the city
can be pretty shit, but you learn to navigate around as much of it as you can.
